During times of crisis, we turn to Him for comfort. With many terrible stories dominating our headlines, we thought we’d compile a list of some of God’s promises from scripture to turn to in times of adversity.
Take a few moments away from those headlines and read these passages from the Bible to help comfort the soul and remind you to put your faith in Him.
Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.
– Deuteronomy 31:6
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
– Matthew 5:4
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
– John 14:27
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
– Isaiah 41:10
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.
